Thanks to Raymond Yee for the pointer.

My Wayne Hodgins anecdote. Back in August I ran a workshop jointly with some colleagues on the subject of learning objects in the medical domain. The audience was comprised mostly of medics and educational technologists working in the medical domain. Guess who was sitting at the back of the room? Wayne was the guest speaker for the conference and had a few spare minutes that day so he sat in on the first 30 mins or so of our workshop. Can you imagine running a learning objects workshop when the guy who's credited with inventing learning objects as a concept is sitting in the audience! I have to say that Wayne was extremely helpful, insightful and an all round decent guy. I learnt a lot from the brief time I had to speak to him and hopefully our workshop ran just that little bit better as a result.
